About ICIC

International Charity For Ill Children is in memory of Hiep Trung Nguyen and Tho Huu Tran. It was my son’s wish to return to Vietnam to help those children, whose families are unable to help them. But unfortunately, Hiep passed away in 2004 and it is my pledge to carry out his wishes.

Hiep’s dreams can be made a reality with your help. ICIC is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to providing financial and medical assistance to children in need in Vietnam. Please open your heart and give the gift of life to sick children.

After travelling to Vietnam on two occasions, Kim realized that there were a great number of children in need of medical care. Knowing that she did not have the financial resources to meet this needs, the International Charity for ill Children was established in 2005 with the hope that the volunteers and donations would help alleviate the suffering for the sick children in Vietnam.

In Sep 2008 Kim and our volunteers had visited orphanages and sick children hopital in vietnam. With them, they brought gifts to the children. The sick children were surprised when they received the gift, including noodles, milk, candies, cookies and a small sum of money (50 thousand dong – the equivalent of $3.50 Canadian) were placed in their arms along with their very one and usually their first, Teddy Bear! Seeing the sick children ecstatic happiness in receiving these small tokens despite their sickness and their pains. Were enough to bring tears to one’s eyes. Donations, no matter how small, are great enough to change a child’s life. We thank you for your support to enable us to provide food and medication to enable these children to fight their illnesses and have a better quality of life.

In August 17th 2008 our volunteers had fund raising event at Gatineau cultural day. The Mayor of Gatineau, Marc Bureau and his wife (Christiane Bureau) supported International charity for ILL children with his donation and times.

In June 2008 our volunteers had visited the Cancer Hospital for Sick Children in Saigon . With them, they brought 130 gifts to the children. The sick children were surprised when they received the gift, including noodles, milk, candies, cookies and a small sum of money (50 thousand dong – the equivalent of $3.50 Canadian) were placed in their arms along with their very one and usually their first, Teddy Bear! Donations, no matter how small, are great enough to change a child’s life.
